I mean at what stage of pregnancy. I am going to be a first time mum 27 weesk pregnant and I feel OK some days and really exhausted the next day. I don't know how this would work as the pegnancy progresses. I work in an inbound call center. Most of the time nonstop talking over the phone and somedays I feel I can't speak, I feel breathless, my voice shatters and I pant a lot. The next day I feel ok, not good, but ok.

I am worried if I would suddenly feel overwhelmingly tired so just need some advise from you guys, when do you really start to feel tired all the time and that you can't keep going anymore?

I know everyone's situation is different but I really appreciate you sharing your experience with me.

All pregnancies are different. Just because some women can do it all throughout their entire pregnancy, it doesn't mean we all can or should.

Working in a call center is tough - even though people don't realize it. A few years ago I was having similar problems. I worked in call center and was having a hard time with the breathing and the talking and everything. It turns out I was insulin resistant and having problems because of pre-diabetes. I wasn't pregnant at the time.

I've since lost weight and the problem has resolved itself.

I would talk to your doctor, as it sounds like there maybe something else going on with your pregnancy.

Just remember that even though some women like to brag about everything they did when they were pregnant, you know your body best. And if its telling you to stop working so hard, you need to listen to it.

All women are different. Being this is your first pregnancy and you're feeling the way you are, and in what seems to be a busy work place, you may want to consider working part time if you can afford to.
If not, please talk to your doctor and supervisor and ask them to put you on work restrictions.
From what you're saying you are getting too exausted when you should be concentrating on a healthy and happy pregnancy.
You shouldn't go by what other women have experienced through their own feelings and pregnancys, but by what you are personally feeling.
It sounds like you need to take more breaks, take a leave of absence, work part time or work with your supervisor at placing you at a less stressful work position at this particular time.
You are living, eating and everything else for two now, and your baby is dependent solely on you.
Please put yourself first so you won't end up getting yourself sick from exaustion.
You'll be fine if you take action now so you can help to avoid some of what you are feeling at this most important time.
Good luck and God bless you and your precious baby!

Pregnancy is mind over matter. I have had 3 children and did not suffer hardly any discomfort except a little bit of nausea with the last one. And labor does not hurt that bad, regardless of all the horror stories people like to tell (I did it natural). Only you know your body and when you need to rest. But remember this, labor is like running a triathalon, so if you don't remain active it will be like laying around for 4 months and then running a marathon.

well im a hairdresser so that means talking all day and also standing on my feet, so you can imagine how tired i get but i have to work for the money, when you come home just take it easy and go to bed early, but you are sitting all day so i dont see why you shouldnt be able to work later in pregnancy, when i feel tired i sit down and stop for a bit and i make sure i drink heaps of water, come home at night and rest and i go to bed early

It's kind of odd that you are having this much trouble just talking. You are only six months pregnant. Many women do aerobics, walk, work out, and do their regular jobs right up until they deliver. Are you seeing a doctor or a midwife? If not, I would suggest you start. If you are, I would suggest asking him or her about your symptoms.

You could ask the doctor to sign you off sick...then you wont be using up your maternity leave.

Talk to your doctor about this.
If you can afford to quit work now, then do so.
