Man..need cheap good graphics~!?

i need a cheap graphics card..around 256 will do..and wtf is vram?is it better than normal ram?and the cheap graphics card needs to be able to play good games like el matador,crysis,tiberium wars and such..ani recommendatios people?

i picked up my ati x1950pro for $150 and it has handled everything i have thrown at it
vram is video ram. it is memory built into the card. it is very similar to normal ram, in fact it is based on ddr2, gddr3, and gddr4. it just kinda lightens the load for your system so your computers memory doesnt have to work so hard

I'll make this simple.

I'll go with cheapest to most expensive of what I would buy if I had to buy something right now.

Evga 7600gt 256
Evga 8600gt 266
Sapphire x1950gt
Sapphire x1950pro
Diamond 3850
Diamond 3870

If you need cheap and decent get a 7600gt or 8600gt

If you want a good old mid range card get an x1950

and if you want the new kind of mid range get a 3870.

I like cranking up filters.

So I dislike the newest nvidia cards.
