It's 12:06 AM where I live, I just got back from a walk. My insomnia coupled with my utter boredom made me decide to go on a walk around the block. I live in a relatively bad neighborhood, so I was a bit paranoid... But that didn't stop me.
So, have you ever decided to go for a walk in the middle of the night? If so, how late (or early) was it? Did you find yourself looking over your shoulder often?

Hah! I have done that since I was a kid, louisann. I don't just do that while trying to sleep, I do it all day too. I have a very, very active imagination.

Me and mu friends do that all the time. I'm also 15 and I think the night is the most gorgeous time of the day. So peaceful but also dangerous so BE CAREFUL. You dont know what creepers could be awake. But most of the time when we're bored we run up and down the street and yell real random things...even turn into a dare sometimes. I think the neighbores get annoyed but we never got complaints so we dont care. Although I love the night time I'm terrified to go by myself...anywhere. Even in the day time. But to your question I can totally agree it's cool that a guy notices simple wonders of the world like this.

Yes. I often feel like going for walks at night. I once went for a walk at 1am. I did have to keep looking over my shoulder. I live in a relatively safe neighborhood, but you just never know these days.

when I was younger, 13 and older I used to do it all the time. I simply loved it. I used to sing with a community choir in the tristate area and when I used to arrive home. I used to take my dog out. It used to be about 1 or 2 am and I used to arrive home back about 2 or three. Haven't done it in years, maybe if I lived some where where the weather was half way decent.

That really depends on place (or country) where you live. Believe me or not but there are still some places in the world when you can go for a walk any time you please. But in many neighborhoods ( probably yours is one of them ) it is more like death wish than just wish for some fresh air. Please do not get into habit doing so , or we might not hear from you anymore.

Yeah, I don't think my mum would appreciate me [fourteen years old] walking around the streets of Brooklyn alone at night, haha.
During the summer when I'd hang out with my friends until like 9 p.m.,I'd be practically running home lol :]

I`m out most nights. I do a lot of pest control and that is when they come out in the country, in the cities you have a different kind of pest the two legged sort that come out at night. I wouldn`t stop going out but would adjust my senses to recognise when theres a possible chance of danger.

when i was in my teens, i used to accompany my cousins and friends and fool around on the way home from late night parties. that's it. now, if i don't get sleep, i get up and watch a news channel, then come back to bed. if i still cannot sleep, i lie still, close my eyes, and make up stories(I'm sure there is a world famous film writer/director residing inside me!) till i eventually fall asleep. try it, its better than inviting trouble outside your home in the middle of the night.
OR, maybe you are looking for something that is presently not available to you inside your home!!! thought about that???

I used to do that quite a bit in High School and college. I once walked from Solomon, Kansas to Abeline one night, when visiting my grandfather there. Had to call my Mom to come pick me up.
I haven't tried it in urban areas though.
