I like staying home with my family, watching the TVspecials or maybe a movie and just hanging out with the family before the year begins.
(-: I'd like to travel later in January, though, when the rates get cheaper!!

May your wish come true then. Envisioning empowers wishes to come true. Me? I'll be home alone and watching the countdown beginning in South Korea which is an hour ahead of Singapore time. Happy New Year!

Me too, I wish I could go to Australia considering that's my dream continent to visit :]. I think I'm staying home on New Year's Eve but I want to convince my parents to go see the fireworks here in Chicago.
Happy New Year's :]

I'm staying home unfortunately, even though I was invited to a party. The thing is I'm in my hometown with my parents on break from school, but the party's in the town where my college is, a couple hours away, and I probably can't get a ride back that day. It's possible, but unlikely.

Well, I always stay home for New Years and have a fun time anyways! Maybe invite a friend or two over who aren't travelling either and celebrate together :D

i've done a number of things including standing in times square to wait for the ball to drop, nothing at all, and having my own party. The most fun is almost always having a party at your own house and inviting friends. The reason it's fun is bc/ you get to recuperate the next day in the comfort of your own home. You don't have to worry about drunk drivers, and you are still surrounded by your friends and not random strangers.

I will stay at home and celebrate the New Year quietly. Of course I am going out for dinner earlier in the day with friends.

I'm definitely staying home - as usual. All that New Year celebration crap is so overrated (not to mention WAY overpriced).

I've done the New Years ball parties, clubs, bars, parties you name it. Was fun when I was young, but as you get older, you realize it's just a big waste of money, very pricey! I think if you don't mind crowds go out and enjoy, if you get irritated/annoyed (like myself) stay home and do something the following weekend.
I think it would be very cool to experience it in other countries, but again the price thing comes into play and really isn't worth it. Never been to NY on New Years but I'm guessing you pay an arm and a leg for a rinky dinky hotel room, no thanks...
