the strength of a person is judged by how much devastating blow a person can take an still keep standing. normally a stronger person will take more stronger blows than the weaker ones who will crumble at the slightest attack.
having no emotion is like throwing away your strengths and weaknesses. not being able to care does not contribute strength, not being able to experience happiness, sadness or loneliness does not contribute to strength either. to me having no emotion is like running away from a fight.

First we have to identify exactly what strong is, and in my argument i will consider strong in relation to that of understanding the world and being emotionally stable and strong.
that is a really good question!! I think having no emotion makes you a weaker person, because having emotion and going through hardship of emotion makes you stronger, but when one would have no emotion at all they would not understand the world, and therefore would not be strong.

Having no emotion towards a serious event could be resulting from severe psychological trauma as a child and might be developed as a defense mechanism. Even if that isn't the case, showing no emotion is a defense mechanism because you're too afraid to show how you feel, therefore, you're weaker because of that fear.

Weaker because it makes it appear that you don't know how to deal with your feelings and emotions so you just bottle them up and shut down out of fear of confronting them.

It depends. Too much of emotions, like anything is bad.

I would think that controlled or "discriminating" emotions can be useful to propel you and guide you.

As a warrior, challenger, athlete, competitor, it will make you stronger.

Emotions can easily backfire especially to the undisciplined ones. There had been many instances where anger, jealousy, rage, and careless wanton behavior have damaged the careers of many famous people and celebrities.

well without emotion i dont think you would be a person... so having no emotions could not make you a stronger or weaker person because you would not be a person... merely a walking corpse...

Emotions are what make the strongest people. specifically, the emotions that you have towards people who are meaningful to you. throwing away emotions will make you stronger faster its true, but only to a certain extent. people who harness the power of their bonds with their loved ones will go beyond what seems physically possible. if you can achieve this, your strength will know no boundaries and you will never give in to fatigue weather emotional or physical. i speak from experience not from a book. iv seen people who work hard every day of their lives, but those who have a greater reason will always prevail

Weaker because you louse consideration for the way others feel if you are not able to feel emotion. It would make it hard to be compassionate and honest with others because you would not be able to be honest with your self. To acknowledge the suffering of others you must first suffer your self, people with no emotion can not feel emotional pain so I would think they would not really understand others emotional pain and that seems like a weakness to me. I think that true strength comes from having the ability to love every one and see the good in them.

Having no emotion towards what? If you mean toward anything then i would think it would make you a weaker person. Every one has emotions. Happy, Sad, Depressed... something.

Weaker, although it's more that the process by which a person becomes weak also cuts him off from his emotions. It is a weakening of the functioning of the body and the mind, and it results in a life lived in fear. Such a person becomes afraid of his emotions and so he represses them, cuts himself off from them by depressing the functioning of his body and escaping into his mind.

It makes you weaker. You do have emotion, but your just blocking it out. Trust me I've been there, and eventually it will come to get you, and break you down. It deafinatly makes you weaker. to just put a block up is alot easier than dealing with the situation and emotions that go along with it.
