Yeah, 36 B or C sounds about right. Too much bigger, and they tend to droop or cause back problems, even. I've got Ds right now, but right after my babies were born, I was up to DD. Kind of floppy and I don't like running or bouncing, and my bras have to be the expensive, heavy-duty kind.
I'd like to be a bit smaller.

it depends on the women a really petite women who is very skinny would look ridiculous with 34F boobs
but a larger women wouldnt
but for the average women i would say about 34/36/38 C or D

Obviously, the best size is the size that fits them. It would be stupid to want a bra that is too tight or too big - that would just be uncomfortable.

From my point of view as a women,I'd like a small c cup.From a blokes point of view 36 DD probably, large but not heading south.

i feel there really isnt an answer to that. breast size is a trend like any other fashion trend.
