Never heard of that, and both sides of opinions are good. I wouldn't, but that doesn't mean it's not good for the drain.

I believe she is correct. We get a lot of grease ans small dirt build up in drains. Coffee grains are small yet powerful, they can cut through the grease and help remove the build up on our drains. I would make sure you give the drain a good flush after wards with hot water or even bleach!

She is wrong. How could anything that does not dissolve in water be good for a drain? They probably won't hurt if you flush them down with plenty of water but they cann stick to any grease that might be there and cause a restriction or eventual blockage.

Well.... the drain water will tasted much better.
But other than that, I have no idea how it would help.
They help clean Garbage disposals by acting as an abrasive as they're being ground...

That is for disposals, supposedly but really doubt that makes any difference. As for regular drains, it may just clog it.

absolutely wrong coffee ground may stick 2gather making aball or big mass that may get dry with time and cause ablockage
