What issues are you touchy about ? Mine are definately when I hear ( or read ) something negative toward children and when people are ignorant to people with an addictive issue. I always tend to jump to the defense for either.

Cruelty to children, animals. Racism, ageism. Rude manners in any context. Maybe its just my age, but these things annoy me more with each passing year.

I also am very quick to jump to someones defense, even when I know it will cost me in the long run. There is always a price for doing the right thing, it isn't free!
Child molestation is an issue that shakes me to the core, for very personal reasons.
Personally, my soft spot is perceived guilt, I have a tendency to always think the blame is mine.... one could call it an addictive issue. It is something I always have to work on.

Thank You for the Question, it was a good one!

These days there is just too much emphasis placed on children. Everything is ". . . . for Kids" - while being a parent is not an easy job - it is a job and therefore comes with responsibilities. Personally, I think we should put more emphasis on ". . . . . for mistreated animals", or ". . . . . for abused seniors" ! When I was growing up - if I fell off my bike (and I did a lot) and skinned my knees - mother just washed the booboo with soap and water and applied a bandaide. Now is necessitates a trip to the Emergency room! How ridiculous is this? Children will never learn how to look after themselves if adults continue to "mollycoddle" them. So to answer your question - all the attention and money spent ". . . . for Kids" on the TV - really gets my knickers in a twist! CJ

There are a few, but I don't want to go on and one here, it is not the time or place. So I will just leave it at that. Best to keep my mouth shut, no use stirring up trouble. There are a lot of unjust things going on in the world and it would just take to long to mention them all and it is too hard to just pick one.

I agree that child abuse and animal abuse is horrible but.....Parents now are raising their children in a bubble...when we were young if we did something that harmed us physically we learned not to do it again, now children are given every protective product on the market to protect themselves. If I fell off my bike and hurt myself I learned to be more careful..now children are given knee pads helmets etc. and do not learn the consequences of their actions...if you put a hair pin in a light socket...hey you just didn't do it again..now they all have these plastic covers for sockets..child proof door knob covers...if you were caught playing in the toilet because you got into the bathroom you got a swat on the butt and were told NO NO! I go to my kids house and cannot even open the cabinet doors because they are all child proof...also the oven , fridge, door knobs....Just crazy...children need to learn that that their actions have consequences and learn what NO means. Sorry for the rant but as you said it is a sore spot for me......

I would have to agree with you. Things that are negative toward children and also the destruction of the environment.

I was reading of the situation in one Asian country where poor families sell their children to pimps as prostitutes.
The story of the abuse grossed me out and I had to stop reading it.

The Japanese and their whaling is also a sore spot.

Mine is education. We don't revere learning in America and it shows. Most of the problems we have in this country are caused by ignorance, that is, not knowing. Alexander Pope was right about a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. We prove it every day in this country. We have abundant learning opportunities, but ironically, we don't take advantage of them.
