Pollution and clouds, my friend. The city lights are reflecting off the clouds and being scattered by the pollution. It happens in all big cities.

If it's very early where you are it's dawn , otherwise it could be dusk.

If it's a very clear night and you are north of about 45degrees or south of 45degrees south, it could very well be the Aurora.

If you are near a large city, the sodium-neon lights used can diffuse and softly light up the clouds to look any kind of color from purple to dark orange.

This happened to me once after an alien abduction. When I woke up the next day the sky was a funny color and everyone sounded like they were talking underwater. It wore off after an hour. Check yourself for needle marks or anything that may have been implanted under your skin.

basically,blue color of the sky is due to scattering of sun light by atmosphere.you can note that sky is in orange color in morning and evening times,becase sun rays has to travel larger part of atmosphere,so there is color change.so,i think this may be answer.

due to green house gases which reflect the suns rays to go back out of our atmosphere.as the green house gases are not allowing the suns rays to go out the suns rays are getting reflected so they spread that is why the sky is looking pale orange.

Maybe is a refraction of the moon light under conditions of fuzzy water vapor clouds.

Whether this is the reason or not , our neighboring planet Mars is the closest it has been , or will be again , for a number of years ;and perhaps, with a bright full moon , combined with dust in the atmosphere this may also account for this effect you refer to .
Another who answers this question may be able to provide a better answer .

It is dust in the sky. It's natural, and very pretty! Every sunset where I live is a pretty sunset. Sit back and enjoy the view!
