Bakersfield is considered cheapest place in CA, Palm spring would be best place for disable if you can afford it.

Since this is in the San Francisco section, I'll assume that is where you are.

You are living in one of probably the top 5 most expensive cities in the country. Even if you are not in SF, most of California is expensive and it is a heavily taxed state.

Anywhere you go will probably be cheaper. What you need to start with is what climate, area, surroundings will make you happy.

Try anything North California is a lot cheaper then Southern. Passed San Francisco going towards Sacramento, California.....anything in the 707 area code......Maybe look into section 8....My girlfriend would not look in to it because she was told the list was to long and the list was closed.....I kept bugging her. She finally looked into it and within six months her name came up. She also find a nice apartment in Vacaville, Calif. that had a sliding scale and put her at the top of the list.....Seniors on a fix income, Places like that have to take so many disable and seniors......good luck ..i hope you find somewhere were ou will be happy
