Found new hardware wizard, problem.?

Question

i installed a webcam in my labtop just by plugging it into the usb and running the found new hardware wizard. when i try to instal the cam into my computer i ran the wizard and for some reason it said it couldnt instal and i clicked the run this just once before it started now everytime i plug the cam in to try again the comp doesnt even recognize it. what can i do to instal my cam and the program that came with the cam wont find the cam in my computer. hope this wasnt too confusing can someone please help me.

ur supposed to install the software before u plug the camera up. it will be too hard to explain how to remove it to start fresh. try to install the webcam software with out the camera being plugged in.

You need the drivers for your "cam".
That is what the "found new hardware" program does, it tries to identify your hardware you plug in, when it cant tell what it is, it wont install it. So, you need to install the drivers for it from the disk that came with it, not a disk to do things with it like making pretty pictures and things, you need the install disk, the drivers.
If you do not have this disk , then google the brand name, model number and then add + drivers. Or visit your products website and search for drivers.
