Would you get angry if someone said, "Engaging in homosexual acts is repulsive"...?
Can you distinguish yourself as a person...apart from the 'act' or is it one in the same?
Just curious...

*Lece R.* I think you are having a hard time w/ my second question because based on your answer you cannot distiguish between the people & the act.
Lol..
i.e. I love to give h*@d...so even though you don't find me (personally) gross, the thought of a NICE HARD D**K in a girls mouth is gross to you...Get the difference now.
I'm not saying the ppl...just the act.

Yeah, I guess you can say that to someone but you probably wouldn't walk away in 1 piece. Such a shame you have such a beautiful name w/ such an ugly attitude. No one said anything about being afraid of homosexuality. Like I don't like hissing roached...I'm not afraid of them, I wouldn't step on one nor encourage anyone else too.
(I think you need to look up the difinition of homophobia, another word tossed about w/o substance like 'racist').

It is not one and the same. Whether you're gay or straight, your sexual orientation is not the sum of your parts. Believe it or not, there are both straight and gay people who aren't sexually active. It's a shame that in society, the act has come to define the person.
In any case, whether you agree with them or not, you need to understand the factor of cultural conditioning. Everything we see, in fairytales, books, and movies, depicts "straight" relationships. Being openly gay is a very new thing in our history. Given that, you can't really expect people NOT to feel that way, even if it's don't say so. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't mean they hate gays, and it doesn't make them horrible people.

If somebody told me engaging in homosexual acts is repulsive I'd tell them to mind their own business. I happen to think a lot of sexual acts are digusting (like fetish sex, girls giving guys head, ect.) But do I go parading around telling the people who do these things that they are gross? No. Because it's a total opinion and I shouldn't care about what I'm not participating in.
As for your second question I'm not real clear on what you are asking.

Certainly I would not get angry. To straight people, gay sex is just as repulsive as me picturing myself with a woman. While I appreciate the beauty of women, the concept of sex with them repulses me. Is this bad? I don't think so, but it delves into why straight people are prone to homophobia.
No, I am not heterophobic.

As opposed to "Being gay is repulsive"...?
You mean just the act is repulsive.
I wouldn't get angry at either but either comment would tell me all I need to know about the person making the comment.

I get angry when I hear that, and I'm straight. While I have no desire for a same sex relationship, I also understand that it is natural and many other species exhibit this trait.

i do no longer understand what gay penguins ought to do with human rights. although, it would not cause them to unnatural. no longer being waiting to fly does. Like my grandpappy mentioned to me while i became knee severe to a pig's eye. "Sonny,by no ability have confidence a fowl which could no longer fly."

As a guy, I honestly find man-man sex pretty gross.
But I don't discriminate against them.

I would say "that's your opinion and you're entitle to that. My opinion is you're a f**king ignorant, homophobic, moron and I'm entitle to that."
Then I'd walk away.
