Is it true that if you get a fortune in a fortune cookie and go outside on the chinese New Year and burn it, your wish will come true?

IDK, but it is an interesting question. It does sound vaugely familiar. When I was really little my grandmother was friends with a chinese lady who owned the local resturant, but I was really little like six or seven the last time I saw her. I don't see where as it wouldn't hurt to try. I always keep the ones I like the best and have quite a stack in a box actually.
