When do you celebrate your birthday if you're born on February 29th?

2008 is a leap year with many born on February 29th. However, since February 29th comes every 4 years when do people celebrate their birthday? How do you answer the question "when is your birthday?

I know 2 people with Feb 29 birthdays. Both celebrate on March 1st.


I guess they answer the question with 'Feb 29'.

I've only known of one person who this applied to and he celebrated his birthday on February 28th since it is the last day of February on non leap years.

To answer the question he would say, "February 29th on a leap year."
