I lived in like 10 different places. Because I was the youngest I always got the bum deal as far as bedrooms go. The first window sill memory is from our living room when I was 3...you could see the park across the street and kids playing.

Looking south was the side yard & the two Crysanthemum bushes & Lilac bushes nearest my window. Beyond that, at the bottom of the sloping hill was a row of tall (thorny) privet hedges that outlined our yard & then of course, the neighbor's garage & house. Looking to the southeast (in the winter mostly because of the leaves on the trees & bushes) you could catch a glimpse of the street & the intersection located just beyond the neighbors.

A plumeria tree and the Koolau mountain range in Hawaii.
But then we moved to Kansas and the view was of the house next door. Literally so close that I could put a broom stick out my window and tap on their wall.

The bedroom of the old man who lived next door, it was an educational view let me tell you, still having nightmares!

Nothing special, but bad from a feng shui perspective. My room faced the street and there was another street emptying directly into ours opposite the house. There was a street light outside too; I never have liked lights at night when I'm trying to sleep. We lived in one of those post-war suburbs in LA.

Room 1: Our drive way
Room 2: Front Yard. And across the street, the beach!
Room 3: Backyard
Current Room: Back to room 2
We kept changing rooms a lot.

The house nextdoor, the roof over the garage, and the street. The other window was overlooking the front yard and the street.

In my first room, the ugly backyard we used to have. Room two, the frickin' water department! Excellent view! The third room, a better backyard. Room four, the neighbor's house. Room 5, a whole new ugly backyard!!!

The front garden out grass was always so bright and green, and right out side my window was a big apple blossom tree.
