sports, ice skating, play-acting, looking at clouds to see what shapes we saw, building models, looking at the stars at night to see the constellations, camping, boating with my family.

I was born in a small village in the remote corner of India. As a child I always sought out boys of my age and went out to play with them in the street. In the evening, it was the routine of my mother to wash the dirt off me. The simple pleasure of those days can never be experienced now.

I enjoyed working after school and earning funds to buy bonds and other assets such as old coins. Never went for gimmicks like sports, or parties, drove Cushman motor school to school to conserve. One luxury I did enjoy was going to movies on Saturday and roller derby once a year.

the day to day events are hard to recall but I know in the summer my father would put up an 8 man tent in the back yard and we would have a great time spending the night out there.

It depended on the season and the weather. Playing Barbie dolls, colouring, ice skating, corking, playing with toys, playing school, there was always something fun to do.

Playing Barbies. I did it until I was 14. Just loved them for whatever reason. I also liked My Little Ponies.

I was a total bookworm. I loved to read. I had a really great teacher in grade six who introduced me to classic literature. I still love it. Books do so much more for me than television or movies.
