That really depends on what kind of field you are looking at. The people that say Medicine aren't really right. Before you start raking in the cash in medicine you will have to go through a a multiple year residency where you will get paid pittance and treated like crap. After that though the pay is nice. It also depends alot on where you live. I will answer based on the australian market seeing as its the one I know best.

Here, your best bet for quick serious money is Mining Engineering and Petroleum engineering, all you do is a 4 year BEng and you are making serious cash right out of uni. Appart from that, being an Actuary almost guarantees you a massive starting salary if you are any good at what you do. If you manage to get out of Law school with good grades, law firms pay fairly well but this is risky as it is very competative and if you are not at the top of your cohort your first few years in the industry will not be a gravy train.

Engineering careers. Computer software engineers, industrial engineers, and the like. Entry-level positions usually require a bachelors degree in engineering.
