Until the Al Qaeda and Taliban sympathizers can be rooted out, there will be no peace in Pakistan.

The Pakistani people must now think about the future of their country, they must know their true enemies, and they must face them without fear! They must show Al Qaeda that the Pakistani people will not roll over and bow down!

They must gather humongous groups of people, in fact, millions of people SHOULD (emphasized) volunteer to fight Al Qaeda and the Taliban on the border! This is a national emergency for Pakistan, one that MUST (emphasized) and I do mean MUST (emphasized) be taken into the hand of the Pakistani people!

The Pakistani people MUST (emphasized) be willing to fight their true enemies which are Al Qaeda and the Taliban!

Benazir Bhutto should be hailed as a TRUE HERO (emphasized) in Pakistan. She should be martyred as such and just like her, the Pakistani people must be vigilant in the fight against Al Qaeda and the Taliban.

Unfortunately, Bhutto's assassination will take attention away from the tribal areas for now. The tribal areas on the border are slowly being "swallowed up" by the Taliban. NATO and the US is failing their mission in many ways especially because the Taliban seem to have won especially when dealing with the long term battle.

Also remember that the US and many other countries including Pakistan supported the Taliban's rise to power shortly after the Soviets left Afghanistan in shreds, but also left as a defeated nation to the Mujahadeen fighters.

This means there are a lot of people in Pakistan and Afghanistan especially near the border regions who have a lot of sympathy towards Al Qaeda. In fact, there are people who helped the Taliban rise to power that are still in the Pakistani government.

I am of Pakistani nationality and I don't agree with their behavior However, I think they are acting like this because in their minds Bhuttoo was their only hope. You see, the government does not take care of those people, the police does not do anything, and neither does the current leadership.
so imagine living in a country where you have no rights and there is no justice or democracy. The Pakistani people had Bhuttoo's father who was killed and then the brothers were killed and now the last hope. The country will never have a leader that will fight for their rights for many many years to come. So they are fighting the only way they know how. You guys are wrong we have not given money to the people of Pakistan we have given it to it's government. Visit the country and you will see the millions of dollars have not been put into restoring any part of Pakistan and apparently it has not been used to improve security. In our country if one person does not get justice we all protest or if we are not happy with our work condition we strike. They are protesting, but are just more extreme. What would we do in this country if our rights were taken away, President Bush kept enforcing Marshell Law every few weeks but doing nothing for our security, and our democratic leaders were killed one after another?

What's so difficult to understand, they riot after a soccer game and, try to kill the opposing players, they riot if their man doesn't win an election and, try to kill the opposite parties. They riot for everything in those third world countries, that's why they are what they are today, backward and illiterate.

They point their fingers at the U.S. and taunt us, call us names and tell us we're the bad guys, when they have earthquakes, floods, famine, they know where to come.

This area of the globe is the oldest of mans existence, it should be so far advanced by now, into a future society, that we'd look like cave men in comparison. Look at where they are in today's society.

see, Benazir Bhutto was supporting democracy.Bcoz of that there was a bit peace in Pakistan .But some people or make it majority of the people in Pakistan were supporting military dictatorship as they want their country to be an Islamic country.so they might be waiting for a chance to riot. They knew that under Benazir Bhutto they must act good.she wanted fraternity and secularity. But these ppl want one religion state. or maybe ..........they must be feeling bad after her death so to mourn and to celebrate their sadness they are rioting and crying!!

It does seem stupid. I Imagine things like the looting of banks are being done by poorer members of the population that are taking advantage of the situation to benefit themselves. The behavior is very common though. It happened in Iraq after the invasion, in Seattle during protest of the World bank, LA after the Rodney King beating, LA again after Martin Luther Kings assassination . I think it is the reaction of populations that otherwise feel helpless to make any meaningful change in their society.

I too find it hard to understand. But I have seen the same thing more than once in Los Angeles. Obviously it's not a constructive response.

What do you want them to do, poke the army in the eye with a sharp stick, or write a letter to the Editor? How about slaughter each other for a while.
If you think what is going on is stupid, then figure out how Bush's finger prints are all over Pakistan and why?
