People are saying she's irresponsible this, and irresponsible that. Wouldn't be irresponsible for her to just kill the thing? I mean sure, she's only 16, but I know people who are younger doing it. I also know she lied about it at first, but come on, can't she have one personal secret that doesn't have to get out. Plus Jamie is giving up her body for NINE MONTHS. Also, she's giving one of the greatest gifts a woman can give, and not to sound all sentimental because I hate that, but she's giving life. Can't you respect that? So why, WHY are you mad at her for doing something you know other people are doing who just havent gotten caught?

One more thing, she may be a role model, but it's not like girls are gonna say, "I wanna be just like Jamie Lynn! I want to get pregnent!" that's just stupid. I KNOW SHE'S SIXTEEN, ok??? I know someone who was twelve but aborted because she was "popular" and she couldn't handle people finding out. And yes, I am kind of commending her for keeping her child.

People can be VERY judgemental about things that are NOT really any of their concern. It doesn't occur to them that Jamie S. is JUST as entitled to make her OWN decisions (AND mistakes), as THEY are... So ignore their pitious griping. If they had Lives of their OWN, they wouldn't be picking on Others! :)

Ok guys all of you are commending her irresponsibility because she has chosen to keep the baby?! That is completely stupid! She is a celebrity that my daughter happened to watch almost EVERYDAY! There are many reasons that we should be upset with her for her actions. And to the response that was left that girls aren't gonna say that, "I wanna be just like Jamie" how can you prove that true? It seems to be a baby boom season for celebs of all ages right now. But, as a parent can envision your 16 year old coming home and saying to you that they were pregnant?! If you want to take these matters so lightly there is no way you are a parent. Parents no matter what if their child is 16 and pregnant we freak! There is SO much that they will miss out on in life because of the responsibility that is involved with having a child. What is she going to do, have her mom raise her child? Oh that's right she has enough money that she'll just hire a nanny to care for her baby. What kind of role model is that all the way around? Please I see that generally we hold celebs to higher standard that's because we see everything they do and hear about all that they say. Maybe just once that higher standard can be appreciated and followed. After all if we as a society stopped watching movies and television those companies would go broke and "Whoops!" no CELEBRITIES! Please Babies having Babies! Disgusting and demoralizing. Parents hold your children closer and teach them abstinence!

come on, are we really trying to commed her?! shes 16 for God's sake, i mean think of all the young girl fans she has. i know that there are many girls out there who are getting pregnant at the same age but they dont have a nation of young girls look at there every move. Shes a role model, thats the price she pays for the fame and fortune. I think that girls at 16 shouldnt have children and the fact that jamie did goes against every educational and child pregnancy program in this country. As good as her decision to not have an abortion is, she still had a child and that as a consequence affects all the young women out there who are pressured to have sex to actually have it. that is not the message we as a nation shoud be sending our youth. Bottomline: her irresponsible actions affect the decisions of thousands of young women and that is where the frustration and anger lies.

Well, I`m not mad at her! But like when I see questions like " Ugh! Jamie Lynn Spears? ". I wanna answer it. But is there a reason to be mad at her??? What is it? She wants to become a mother and RESPECT that!!! Plus, one answer I saw said that, " Its a tradition" which kinda made me mad even though I`m not Jamie nor Britney. There is much more to say! I mean I`ve seen " omg! What should I do" and the DETAILS says that " I`m thirteen and like this guy made me had sex with him and I couldn`t help it so I did and now I`m pregnant, what on earth should I do? I`m scared!" And I get mad.Hello??? She`s 13 years old!!! What I`m saying is that you shouldn`t hate on anyone that is pregnant. She WANTS TO BE A MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!! Because she is 16 and in no shape emotionally to raise a child. Her actions are selfish and irresponsible - and affect not only her life but that of the baby too.
Jamie Lynn lives in a first world country in a filthy rich family which could easily afford birth control for her - yet she is a pregnant teen. That poor baby.

16 AND pregnet ring a bell her show Zoey 101 was a good show and now that she is pregnet now all the fans of that show dont get to watch it and I know that she couldnt killl the baby but think about it she is losing money lost her job her boyfriend still lives with his parents (19) has NO future why dont you think about that look at Britney Spears she is STILL tring to recover her come back after she lost so much after divorcing that GOLDIGGER! People arent mad, they're acting the usual way when a 16-yr old gets pregnant. Sure she's having the baby, but she is considered irresponsible bcuz she could have avoided all this, by using protection.

Who wants their kids to see her pregnant. Thats not a role model. she is teaching teens to get with older men and women and to have sex at a young age. She may have a good show but its not to lateb to abort it! When she does next seasons zoey 101 shes gonna have baby fat!

i know people are probably just shocked because they thought she was the good sister and that she was a role model to kids and they don't want other kids looking up to that!It's good that she is keeping the baby but it's not ok just because they're are younger kids getting pregnant doesn't mean she's not too young cuz she is!
