Ok~~~both of my kids were delivered by c-section, my first was done by my choice after a super long labor (and also lack of info), and the second time I went through a long labor and the baby's heart rate was doing funky things so the VBAC wasn't successful.
Anyway, I always said I wanted 4 kids, but since I have had 2 c-sections, I worry about uterine rupture. Yes, I know that's a concern even in the first ever pregnancy with a vaginal delivery too.
A doctor friend of mine said I could have as many as I wanted...assuming I healed up well. My ob/gyn the second time said he would recommend 4, though 5 is ok...as long as the uterus heals well and doesn't look thin.
Does anyone have experience with this either from a mother view point or from a health care provider's view?
I would greatly appreciate this!

I guess I left a little out there!!
My first was born in 01, and the second was in 03. I'm sure all is well for baby number three, but still like to know what every one else has encountered.

Hi! mum of 4 c-sections here! I am a large girl all round and i survived 4 sections! I would advise tho to do your exercises as i have very weak mucsles in my lower tummy and thus am left with a HUGE overhang of tummy that comes down to my pubic bone - gross! So yes have 4 sections but leave plenty of time between them to heal up. I had 4 sections in 5 years, not a good idea! Kids are great but a space of 2 - 3 years is good for your tummy!!!
Oh yes I still get pains at times from the surgery as do other women I've talked to! but its worth it!
I cant have any more due to my uterus being too thin!
All the best!

Well, I only have two kids but they were 11 months apart and both were born by c-section. The first after a hard day of labor to no avail and the second due to them being so close together. Anyways, with as close together as my c-sections were (both in 2006) this issue did come up with my doctor as well but there have been no problems and since I'm sure it's been longer since you've had your last child, you should have no problems as long as everything heals correctly.
