What many people don't truly understand, is naming your child something of the earth is perfectly normal for "ethnic" people. Native American Indians, Native Hawaiians - in their language it's perfectly normal to name someone "the voice of the heavens", Kaleookalani, (Hawaiian).
In the "white man's language" it sounds odd, but in the native language, it sounds beautiful.
Choose a name you can be proud of and don't worry what others think.

Blessings.

Despite almost all the negative you are receiving for the name Stormilynn, I think in this day and age the name will be completely acceptable. My first daughter was named Felicia Raelynn and my second daughters' name is Amberlyn Christine. So, I don't think there is anything wrong with the name Stormilynn. but I do agree with one of the other answerer's drop the last n. It's looks so much more pretty when spelled Stormilyn. And as for a boy, I have no clue. Good luck. :)

I would say Stormi Lynn (lynn being the middle name)
Radience does make it sound a little too much...My half sisters father wanted to name her Flamingo Xelphina (zelphina) But my mother interjected, so she was named Amber Marie...
Don't listen to these people who are saying your child will be beat up, and Raine is a beautiful name, one I plan on using someday for my own!

And the kids that are going to pick on your child for having that name? They are not worth your child being friends with, anyways, if they are so shallow that cannot see past an unusual name...honestly.

Honestly, Stormilynn is awful. I mean seriously, it has the word "Storm" in it. It's like that girl from X-Men. I like really simple, yet unique names, especially ones that start with a vowel. I have no idea why this is. My favorites are Ava, Evey (short for Evelynn), and Eden. All for girls.

My favorite boy names are Tyler, Ryan, and Riley. Sorry, no "earthy" names for you. I love classy with a twist of unique. Very popular with everyone, but still stands out. And you know that it will be nice no matter what age or personality the child has.

a contestant on Rockstar: SuperNova was Storm Susan Large. I think that's a cute name. How about just Stormy Lynn? I think that would be cute. For a boy, how about Raine (like Raine Maida from Our Lady Peace) or Rivers (like Weezer's Rivers Cuomo)? I like Stormy and Raine.

Stormilynn Radience? Are you trying to get your child beat up? Those names are all strange. I went to school w/ a girl named Rainbow Skye and she was made fun of all of her life. It got so bad her mom had to pull her out of public school.

Please don't do that to your child. I grew up with an unusual name and hated it. Really, don't. You can certainly find a name that is not common without burdening your child with something that will only make him/her a target for ridicule. Kids can be really mean, and even later on, having to spell the darn name every time gets really old.

I like it, it's different without overdoing it. Although, you are dealing with the girl who likes the names Hadley, Wednesday, Esze and Tylir for girls! Anyway, I like that combination. I like Easton and Archer for unique boys names. I'm a fanatic for the combinations of the girl name: Addison Navaeh and the boy: Easton Tesmond. Easton is my favorite name. Along with the female name Addison.

I actually like the name Storm, but not Stormilynn. Storm Ariana. Yeah. There you go.

Another spelling option is adding an e on the end.
