I suppose he's seen as a bad influence now. Since cookies are such an unhealthy diet choice which could lead to childhood diabetes, God forbid we should let our children watch a puppet dumping them down his throat by the boxful. Maybe his habit's seen as an addiction or OCD. Whatever...

So they come up with "Elmo," a little wimpy substitute version who eats his vegetables. What a putz.

No wonder we live in such a violent society nowadays.

Elmo's been on Sesame Street.
And Cookie Monster's still there too, he just has to eat cookies for snacks now- instead of all the time. And he has to make "healthy choices" like veggies and fruit =\
STUPID COOKIE NAZIS!!

The ignorant dictators who bankroll Sesame Street & other classic shows have decided that several characters are harmful to minors: Cookie Monster (for overeating junk food), Big Bird (for having an imaginary large furry friend) & Oscar the Grouch (social issues & poor hygiene).
A pathetic & dangerous frame of thought this is, as it opens the door to a tidal wave of censorship which is already happening =(

Sorry to be literal, but he is his own species of yeti, so to speak. His name *is* who he is. He is a *COOKIE MONSTER*. ^__^ *lol* Word has it that some of his DNA is closely related to the prehistoric Giant Sloth, but then again, some of his proteins match the *dust bunnies* under your bed, and his follicle samples match up with "sock monkey", so nobody's for sure. They just know he kinda has PMS lately over this whole politically correct, "veggie" monster crap. What's up with that? Next thing you know Oscar the Grouch will get kicked out of the trashcan and become Oscar the Shelter Dude on Prozac (who is *Your* happy fun friend!). But I digress. Point is, he is who he is. And he has too much fiber in him for his own good lately. ^__^ Poll: Double. Chocolate. Chip. COOOOO-KIEE !! OM! NOM! NOM! NOM! >_<
