You just have to wait and see. Seems to me that hanging out in your underwear would be an OK thing to do. No big deal. It's only underwear. Masturbating can be a little tricky sometimes because it's generally considered a very private and personal pleasure. Even so, don't worry that you and your roommate might hear each other or even see each other masturbate. All men do it and no man ever died from being discovered stroking his d!ck. You and your roommate will be able to work all this out fine.

It all depends on how comfortable your roommates are around you, and how comfortable you are around them.
Don't be shocked if your roommates start doing "guy" things even if they do not know you well. They are just being guys, and if you are uncomfortable, talk to them or get a new roommate.
