I don't care for the HOFF one either, Richard Simmons would have done a much better job singing it. LOL

BB- Just in case you didn't get the tune right in your head....
"ooga, chaka, ooga, ooga
ooga chaka, ooga, ooga....
I can't fight this feeling,
deep inside of me...."
Just imagine The HOFF working out to Richard's video version of it. ;))

FrankenHoff--You've NEVER heard it?? Well, come on over to my shack, and you can watch the video to your heart's content! A dear frind sent me a copy. I wish I could think of a way to return the favor. ;) Maybe they'd like some of Richard Simmons workout video's, or some of Dolly Parton's? Hmmm....
HA! You'll have to clean your own shack....some vandal got mine as well! LOL

Well I hadn't ever heard it before now and I am somewhat glad. I will look up the original on Youtube, it has to be better than the Hasselhoff version, LOL. Ahh B.J. Thomas.
As for my shack young lady, there are some overalls and some turps in my garage, get scubbin'.

Oooooh yes, I'm well aware of and thoroughly disgusted by the fact that "The Hoff" has belched out a wretched quivering pile of phlegm which vaguely resembles this song.
It was originally written by Mark James and performed by B. J. Thomas, but the "ooga chuka" version was put out in 1974 and is probably the most recognizable version of the song.

i remember that song... David Hasselhoff did a remake for this song.. Hooked on a Feeling” is a 1969 pop song written by Mark James originally performed by B. J. Thomas. Featuring the sound of the Electric Sitar, that version reached number five in 1969 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1971, Jonathan King produced his own version, adding the ooga chacka jungle chants from Johnny Preston’s “Running Bear.” It was subsequently covered by Swedish pop group Blue Swede in 1974. This version reached number one. It was covered again in 1997 by David Hasselhoff. The music video of the Hasselhoff version became an internet phenomenon due to its surreal visuals and extremely poor production quality along with the pop culture icon status that Hasselhoff has. Excerpts from the Blue Swede version of the song were used as the audio that accompanied the “Dancing Baby” Internet phenomenon of 1996-1997.
In a 1971 interview with song writer Mark James, he claimed to have penned the lyrics after an especially intense LSD trip. The Hasselhoff music video has seemingly captured the original “feeling” of “Hooked on a Feeling” in more ways than one.
Hooked on a Feeling, both the original version by Blue Suede and the later version by B.J. Thomas (the early 70’s version of pop star turned Christian), was among my favorite songs. Seeing the video version of the song has probably colored my memory of this song forever. Please, please, please… someone erase the image of Hass as a shimmy-ing bear snowboarding over the mountains on a cloud…

I'm a little young I guess but I've heard the song many times. BJ Thomas sang it originally but Jonathan King and Blue Swede also did covers of it.

I have the mp3. Of course, I know it because it was played in the movie Reservoir Dogs. I couldn't have told you who did the original, and I would shoot myself if I saw The Hoff sing. I've actively avoided it.
