Under the Caliphate state, muslims lived in the best conditions, and we had strong armies to defend our honour. Naturally the west has defeated it, took them 1300 years, and now the western drawn crusader states, eg every muslim country, offers nothing but incompetence, corruption, poverty, weakness etc. Out of the billions of bombs dropped on muslim lands by the west, nationalism was their best and strongest one. However now people are waking up and realising this and the call for khilafah is gathering strength. So naturally the propaganda against Islam and western military build up around the muslim lands is increasing. Will the khilafah restore our dignity and at the least ensure that america cant invade and kill 600000 people without fear of retaliation?

Rick K; why does Israel have a right to exist, at the expense of Palestinians? here is a true story, 1350 years ago a Jew stole the Shield of the Caliph Ali. Ali was the Caliph and also a lion in the battle ground. However, he still, despite being leader/king/, had to take the jew to a court, and was asked by the judge( a muslim working for Ali) to produce 2 witnesses, Ali produced his son and his servant, the Judge deemed them to be Bias towards Ali and set the Jew free. The jew astounded by this went to Ali he became a muslim and confessed to stealing the shield. Ali told him to keep it as a present. Now this is the reality of what Bush and the crusaders term 7th century barbarity.

You are right about western 'interference' which has been especially bad over the last 100 years because of competition over oil. But, no to your question.

We live in a different time. And Islam's internal sectarian strife may continue for centuries. Only a major integration of suffering countries into the world economic community AND the relegation of religion to a private matter will stop the misery that some countries are presently suffering DESPITE oil revenues. Iran's present struggles - both internal and external - provide proof that "we get what we resist." It is an unfortunate truism and applies to both sides.

U.S. actions have exacerbated an already volatile situation but it is being forced to acknowledge the results of this thoughtlessness. Reactionary leaders can only maneuver themselves into power when people are frightened. Don't you see that the present world situation will gradually force "reasonable heads to prevail?" It is already happening.

The tide is turning already.

This is very interesting. I must admit I'm not familiar with the "Caliphate state."

But don't forget, the Crusades were a response to Islam sweeping across Europe. As soon as Islam learns the following things, we will all be able to together live in peace.

1. Women are not property, they are the equals of men.

2. God, or Allah, does not expect women to be covered from head to toe.

3. Allah does not expect anyone to convert infidels by the sword.

4. Israel has a right to exist.

5. Suicide is specifically prohibited by the Holy Qu'ran.

6. The murder/slaughter of innocents is specifically prohibited by the Holy Qu'ran.

7. There are no virgins waiting in heaven for those who consider themselves martyrs.

8. The people deserve the right to elect their own leaders.

9. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism can live side by side in peace, along with Hinduism, Buddhism, and every other religion on earth.

10. There are far too many to list here, but you get the idea.

Peace to all.

Gee. I read Seyyid Qutb's book "Milestones" too. What you have laid out in your discourse was his ideas on getting rid of the Jahili world and bringing about Dar Al Islam. Unfortunately, Al Queda and the other Hirabah have adopted that book as their guide, the same way the Nazis did with "Mein Kampf". But, you are free to join their cause and we remain free to mark them as targets. Of course, you could really use the power of the Koran and the Umma to try and get rid of all of those tin-horn despots who have kept the people of the Umma behind times. They are the reason why the educated unemployed of the Umma do things like fly planes into buildings and kill innocent civilians. That is, of course, a "Harram" and so is the doctrine of Takfir which says it's O.K. for Muslim to kill Muslim in this surreal imitation of Jihad being waged by the Hirabah.

"We" who, kimosabe?

Billions of bombs? Western-imposed misery? There's no agenda behind your question, is there?

Riddle me this -- how do you propose to unite Sunni, Shia and the other myriad denominations of Islam in order to have such a Caliphate as to not carry with it an outright civil war against the party in power? Would you propose majority rule by the Sunnis? That, it seems, would be little better than the "Western-imposed misery" you cite in the so-called question.

Hmmm...what a hindrance. Where is the landlord of this bar of chocolate? Has the landlord deserted it? Does the landlord even CARE approximately the distress of this lonely bar of chocolate??? If the landlord may not care for the chocolate bar, then I suppose it's your ethical duty to step in and make matters proper... Go for it... ;-)

I thought there was no nationalism in Islam.

Again why do you insist on applying geography to Islam? You keep mentioning east and west. Islam is global, not confined to east or west.
