1) Hoagland is NOT a scientist. He's a quack who doesn't know what he's talking about. More info here http://www.badastronomy.com - from a REAL astronomer.
2) I don't know where you can find the tape, but it's obviously not real.
3) There are no pyramids on Mars. See above link.

Hoagland, despite his claims, is not a scientist. He beefs up his credentials by fudging the facts. He is an obsessed nut, ET fan, and conspiracy theorist who has dedicated his entire adult life to trying to prove something that isn't true. Like most nuts, he is tireless, and popular among certain circles.
His "face on Mars" has been thoroughly debunked by the close-up, high resolution photos which now reveal some hills not resembling a face at all. That's what made him famous and he has been trying to prove it was built by Martians ever since. He has failed miserably, but "Coast to Coast" will never miss an opportunity to have him on as a guest.
The NASA films you are talking about never included astronauts being mystified by these bits of debris. They know what they are. I saw the film you are referring to, probably fifty to a hundred times, analyzing it closely. The reason the dots suddenly changed direction is because one of the attitude thrusters just ignited and blew it away. These little dots are common. They are small pieces of dust or debris or ice crystals that sometimes collect around the ship. A recent film, (the tether one), shows dozens of them and the astronauts comment on them being tiny pieces of debris or ice close to the camera, and without any concern at all. But when the picture zooms in, there are those who will try to make you believe you're seeing their true shape. No. They're out of focus because they are close to the camera.
But just to be fair, show me where astronauts responded to these things with alarm.

the face and the pyramids on mars were taken with low resolution cameras and are horrible quality. later pictures that are much higher resolution clearly show that the actual features on mars do not, in any way, resemble faces or pyramids. theres the man on the moon 2 remember? its just craters and shadows, same on mars. mars' face is made of mountains and shadows. the pyramids are just mountains, you can clearly see theres nothing special about them when u see the newer pictures.

I remember the scenes you describe. They are from science-fiction movies (one is from Close Encounters).
I think that the stuff is way over Hoagland's head too.

No, Hoagland is someone who makes money out of scaring and confusing people who don't know.
But if you choose to buy his stuff, it is good for the economy.
