and that oftentimes you can't tell people, whether it's your family or friends , because they will try to talk you out of it while in reality you know it's what you should and in the end it will probably only help.

"To thine own self be true" as Shakespeare wrote. That said, it's usually worth your time to listen to other people and think about what they have to say about it. They might have a worthwhile point of view. If nothing else, they'll feel heard and will relax a bit about it, because at least you paid attention. You can say, "Thank you for your thoughts. I appreciate your taking the time. I'll consider what you have said." Then, everyone's more likely to be happy.

People generally disagree with most of my decisions.. but I still discuss them, because you never know when someone might see an aspect of the problem that I wasn't aware of....the decision is still ultimately mine to make though.

The thing is, we can't please everybody... Everyone has a different opinion of what you do... Some find it okay, some don't... You can never really tell what each is thinking but the only thing you can do is to make sure you know the outcome of your decisions...
