I have this DS lite and everything is working, but it won't charge. I bought a new charger, but it still won't. Any ideas?

The battery is also new.

The DS is not charged. Everytime I turn it on, it turns off quickly.

I plug it into the wall mount, but the charger light flickers on and off.

My guess is that ur battery is finally dead, and you may need to replace it. Nintendo sells them at their shop-

http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?lastAction=setCurr&jspStoreDir=NOASTORE&languageId=-1&catalogId=10001&categoryId=62209&productId=108205¤cy=USD&storeId=10001&ddkey=SetCartCurrencyViewJT

or u might be able to find them at a local game shop

anyhow, they're relatively cheap at 15 bucks and should be no problem to replace.

***EDIT: Oh, if your battery is also new... it seems like there's a problem with the DS itself, don't you think?

Here, I've looked it up for you:

like Jim pointed out, if your warranty is still valid, the repair is free.

The charger will not charge the DS because the DS is already charged. Take off the charger and just play the DS lite by itself. When the DS lite glows red at the top instead of green, put the charger into the DS lite and play, this will charge the DS lite again.

the nintendo.com ds site has some information - options two and three on the link below seem to possibly fit your situation

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/dslite/trouble_power.jsp#last

if not, the link for repair is at the bottom of that screen. if your DS is still under warranty, it might be free

Did you let it charge for 3 hours when you first got it, if you didn't that would ruin the battery.
