This is my favorite quote of all time and it pretty much sums up a lot of my way of thinking

Well... I interpret this quote in a more psychological way than most people. I interpret it in a way that it deals with my own division from people and conquering levels that haven't been conquered such as going above and beyond the rest of the people that I am surrounded by. I always strive to make myself stand out from others in various ways.

Oh, yeah. It has been proven over and over again in history; both in battles and in sports.

Whether or not you believe in this strategy doesn't matter. It's a wartime strategy used by tyrants and militaries to get something that usually undermines the wishes of those being conquered. It works if you think you have the right to own people and their possessions. That being said someone must administrate, and if you have popular support, more power to you.

The real working genius of this idea is that it distracts people from seeing who their real enemy is. It was used to keep mine workers working in harsh conditions when they were pitted (black people against whites) against each other in order to manipulate them. Also it was used by the Romans, and now in Iraq by Al Queda, Iran, and possibly G.W. as well. If this is how you live your life, you're in pretty bad company and I feel bad for your "friends".

But hey if you're doing it internally as a way to organize and advance your life, more power to you! Most of the time we are the only things standing in our own ways so if you can divide and conquer your fears and problems, then go get 'em girl, take no prisoners!!

Depends whether what you're intending to conquer is good or evil. It is evil to divide and conquer good. We don't need any more of that in this world; we've been divided and conquered enough.

i believe that is the best way to conquer.
i think its okay to conquer other countries as long as you are going to maintain the people you are conquering in equal or better condition. preferably better.
