when i would visit my family in north dakota we would go buy fireworks in canada and they always had good ones but you can go to any other state besides your own and get good fire works as long as you show them an out of state licence i live in colorado now we just go to wyoming to get the good stuff

it depends on where you live. fireworks ordinances are a municipality by law. you can buy them in most places. Here in Calgary, they are all illegal, while 10 miles away, they are legal

They are only sold between mid-May & July 1.
You can only set them off on private property.
Public pyrotechniques need a licensed operator.

They're legal, and easily accessed. You can buy them at most convenience stores.
