You don't need money to get an agent. The money is for classes, headshots, resumes, postage, gas... Agents get paid when you do, period. If you don't live close enough to the action there isn't anything anyone can do. You either move, drive or don't do it. In the meantime make sure you're looking at the bigger picture here. Do you have the background to get an agent? I highly doubt that you are ready if you live in the area you described. You need to have training and a resume. An agent will not take you without that. Get into classes and start building your resume. I'm sure there are theatres within a 50 mile radius of you? Audition there. Are there colleges with a film department? Find out how their students cast their films. You need to do the work before an agent will give you the time of day. Show them that you really want this and are willing to do what it takes. Hard work is what it takes. Do it.
Good luck,
Marianne

Are you aiming for theatre?
Are you a college student or recently graduated from college?
You may qualify for acting internships in regional theatre. All you need to do is find out if they accept DVD auditions. I've heard of several theatres accepting auditions via DVD. Allenberry Playhouse in Pennsylvania is currently looking for acting interns. You're an intern basically but all you do is act and helpout backstage during setup and strike.
They provide you with an allowance, housing and food.

Well, what I do is call any agency, like Disney or something and ask if they need any new roles for people. I have and now I have a call-back on Hannah Montana. Pretty cool!
