OK, before I start on some fancy foot works that is going to make me sound as stupid as Aaron above I might just answer the simple question. I know what it means to open your eyes and look within. I do give credence to my own understanding and not just depend on 'believing', which is merely 'supposing' that what I hear is true. I look at things critically, and that is why - unlike the guy Aaron agan - I can see what you mean, and what Marley means. Yes, I am satsfied, just because I do just that...I mean that open eyes thing. Peace, one love, and nuff respect to you

I hate when people misinterpret the messages of Bob Marley. Sure he consumed Cannabis, as do I, but he wasn't an irresponsible person. He isn't a symbol for potheads. He is a symbol for peace, love and music. Just because you don't take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you. You should start becoming conscious of local and international politics. Ignorance may be bliss but ignorance is death. Start reading existential philosophy and political philosphy and ontology, and epistemology, and logic and ethics.

*SIGH*

Open your eyes and look within ~~~ means to look at what is happening around you, and ask yourself if you like what you see, and if not, what are you willing to do about it?

Are you willing to sit back and let the world (Babylon System) takes its course? Do you want to make an impact to the benefit of everyone?

Or are you satisfied with the life you're living????

Don't know much of Bob Marleys music but.....
I am satisfied to a certain extent... would love a job that fits in with the family, would love my debts paid off, would love to be comfortable with money, which at the moment I'm sick of debt.

This means nothing without context or superimposition of preconceived ideas...what does it mean to "look within." There are a million interpretations and many have already explored thousands.

This question penetrates nothing.
