Yup, and matter takes different forms, and energy can switch between itself and matter. Consciousness could be something else all together, or just a machine that works until it breaks (like this computer I'm typing on). It seems to be alive until I pull the plug but what I'm actually interacting with is just an interactive system with electrons flowing through it.

Brains could be the same (they have somewhat predictable changes when damaged in some manner), but we really don't understand how the whole thing works very well, only why it does certain things and how it will react in some situations. Our understandings of physics are not sufficient to give us a good answer on what consciousness is yet. Until that happens maybe we are better off just calling it a soul,

Consciousness is part of a bipolar field: a consciousness-body-world field. Thus consciousness (the subjective aspect of the field, or mind) is the opposite of world (the objective aspect, or matter). So it seems logical that energy and consciousness are the same thing, since they are both the opposite of matter.

The field as it manifests in the life of an individual can be disturbed or damaged. If that equates to "smashed", then yes, I agree with your statement.

anything can break the shape of mass but you cannot destroy the essence of the mass. You can separate a bunch of atoms that form a shape (breaking a light) but you cannot break the atoms and the energy that lives inside. This is part of the philosophic thinking of the very creation. It can lead you into a wealth of debate that may or may not be right.. Either way no one can truly answer your question properly; short the answer of the great creator because it is all still theory.

you're confusing physics with metaphor. Matter and energy is transferred or transformed, ie electrical to heat and light, or motion to heat (via friction). If a light bulb is smashed, it is still a light bulb, just a broken one.

consciousness has nothing to do matter and energy.
