Would I quit seeing stupid people or would I just not care that they are stupid

You can achieve the first one by closing your eyes. However, eventually you would have to go to the bathroom and might bump into a person and they would be stupid and you would say "Damn, I am even encountering stupid people that I cannot see. I am so screwed."
So go for the Xanax. It will make you feel better.

Taking Xanax is just not a good idea. It is highly addictive and most likely will not have any affect on whether you see stupid people or not. If seeing stupid people is having a negative effect on your day to day life, taking xanax will just give you another problem. My feeling is not to get involved with anti anxiety medication. You could end up dependent and your problems will be a lot worse than seeing stupid people. You'll have to deal with the drugs which can include a very difficult withdrawal. Any doctor will agree. Xanax is habit forming. Be good to you and if the people you are seeing seem "stupid" eliminate them from your life!

Probably just not care. I've worked in substance abuse clinics and I'm telling you that Xanax is one of the most dependent drugs on the market. Once you start them and stay on them for any length of time, you'll probably take them the rest of your life and if you don't, withdrawls are pretty bad. I'd try something else first and if all else fails, use it as a last resort.

On a serious note, please keep in mind that xanax is one of the 'benzo's' ('mild' tranquilizer) and is Very physically addictive. If prescribed that type of medication, one should Not stop taking it abruptly as seizures, psychosis (a dangerous break from reality) and death can occur and should only stop under a doctor's supervision.
I do know what you mean by 'stupid' people. They are everywhere ;) There are so many thoughtless people around us.

If you're seeing people that are not there, then you're crazy and xanax won't help. If you think it will help you not be annoyed by real people, well, it won't. It might actually make you more prone to becoming annoyed. It doesn't really help me when I take it.

You wouldnt care....but theres a chance it would do nothing too. When I took it, I couldnt tell that I took anything. Didnt work for me.*
