Depends on how you define the term "remote." The toughest spot in the world to get to, and most remote to me, is the Northern Pole of Inaccessibility. It is located at 84°03′N, 174°51′W, on the Arctic Ocean pack ice at the farthest distance from any land mass. So far, only 2 expeditions have EVER visited this place. Once by airplane, and once by submarine breaking through the ice from below.
To date, no one has gotten there by foot...to be fair, very few have tried. It's about 903 miles north of Barrow, Alaska.

There are places in Indonesia that people are just discovering now (never been documented people there). They are discoving hundreds of new species there too.
I would say that is probably the most remote area.
