i'm pretty sure "all of them" is not correct. modern popes do not adhere to the conflict thesis.
see paragraphs 1 and 3 in this entry on theistic evolution.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theistic_evolution
and this entry "evolution and the roman catholic church" which goes pope by pope on the issue.

In 1858, Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace jointly proposed the theory of evolution by natural selection to the Linnean Society of London in separate papers.
On August 12, 1950 Pope Pius XII said in his encyclical Humani generis:
The Teaching Authority of the Church does not forbid that, in conformity with the present state of human sciences and sacred theology, research and discussions, on the part of men experienced in both fields, take place with regard to the doctrine of evolution, in as far as it inquires into the origin of the human body as coming from pre-existent and living matter - for the Catholic faith obliges us to hold that souls are immediately created by God.
Here is the complete encyclical: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/pius_xii/encyclicals/documents/hf_p-xii_enc_12081950_humani-generis_en.html
The Church supports science in the discovery of God's creation. At this time, the theories of the big bang and evolution are the most logical scientific explanations. However tomorrow someone may come up with better ideas.
The Popes between 1858 and 1950 were:
255. Blessed Pius IX (1846-78)
256. Leo XIII (1878-1903)
257. St. Pius X (1903-14)
258. Benedict XV (1914-22)
259. Pius XI (1922-39)
Then 260. Pius XII (1939-58) who wrote the encyclical about evolution.
Which of these five Popes believed in or did not believe in evolution is not really known.
With love in Christ.

As successor of the prince of the Apostles and the Vicar of Christ, he is the defender of the truth and promoter of Christian faith. It is his right to reject all forms of lies and false idealisms that affect the faith of the faithful that can lead them astray. Thus, all of them (even the current Pope Benedict XVI), do not believe in evolution. It is an atheistic idealism that rejects the existence of our God.
