I would say both and so much more. College is more than just education. It is also about life experiences. I received my degree in music while I originally strongly considered a professional career in classical music, my experience in college opened up other doors and opportunities for me. I am currently working in a field that I absolutely love. I don't even enjoy vacation and weekends as much because I just want to be at work again. Weird? I know. Go to college to be educated, go to college to be a trained professional, and go to college to experience life!

I went to college to be educated. I was already fully trained in cinema when it took it as a major in college.
