I have done some research on our presidents and there was not one of them that has denied being a Christian. In fact most of them cling to their faith while they are running for office and the entire time they are in office. George Washington actually said the it is the job of Congress to make sure that every child has the opportunity to read and study the bible. It has always been advised to people running for president to act like they are Christians even if they are not because the majority of the people in this Nation are Christian. That is why you see Obama who is a Muslim going to a Baptist church. He wants to be president, and he knows that the American people will not vote in a Muslim. No matter what the LYING MEDIA says, the majority of the American people are Christian and they want this to remain a Christian Nation. So When Nancy Pelosi is taking the words, "One Nation under God" and "In God we Trust" off of our United States Savings bonds she had to do it in secret because if the American people knew they would hang her out to dry. Even though the Media would have you believe that America is not concerned about it if this is a Christian Nation or not it is a LIE! The people do Care and that is why the people have started to look for alternated sources for their news, because they are tired of the media lying to them. That is why the people that own these networks are expecting their newspapers to be out of business in less than ten years, and the News Stations they are expeciting to be obsolete with in ten years also. Except for Fox News. America is tired of the news giving their opinion , we want the truth, not a bunch of twisted lies by a bunch of liberals. But Yes, Presidents proclaim to be Christian.

i individually do no longer; as long as a President is an honest, ethical man or woman, i do no longer care approximately his particular ideals, or perhaps no count if he believes something. There must be no non secular litmus try for President, or the different elected workplace. As to why the terror - Christians are taught to concern and mistrust that which isn't Christian; till we get via a pair of generations of persons who've had get right of entry to to the outdoors international contained in direction of this style of international communications that we've, you are going to proceed to be sure the terror of something diverse. that's trouble-free xenophobia at artwork, and that's purely going to take time to undo.

There are many quotes of them proclaiming to be believers. No president was an outright atheist or agnostic. Look up George Washington's comments about it being impossible to govern without God's help.

I dont think any of them denied God's existence. Some may not have been as religious as others.

It use to be we heard very little about politicians religious views. It really wasn't until Reagan and the creation of the moral majority that helped him into office that religion has seemed to gain much significance at all. I personally could care less if a president is religious or not. We are hiring him (electing him) to be the CEO of the nation not some kind of spiritual advisor or pope.

Though Lincoln is listed as a protestant, many historians also list him as an atheist.Lincoln was quoted many times denying the existance of a "supreme being", and things of that nature. But, one can't be listed as the "Best Pres. in History" if you weren't a Christian of some kind. But, it is doubtful that Lincoln was a religious man at all.

I know every one of them was a practioner of some form of Protestantism, except for one, and that was JFK, who was Catholic. I don't know how we can measure their "religousness". They all probably went to church, baptized their kids, etc. I don't think anyone of them denied God's existance.
