I have a Dell Dimension 8200 with Windows XP. It was built in 2002, and I don't know how to make it so that I can play more recent games (i.e. Bioshock) that are out now. Unfortunately, CD-ROM games are no longer made, as far as I know.

a driver is a piece of software that tells a piece of hardware how to work. You can download all the drivers in the world but if you do not have a piece of hardware such as a dvd drive they wont help. Dvd drives can be bought for around $50 and only take a few minutes to install. I like VCL media player as a good freeware program. plays nearly every codec i use.
