I was on Wikipedia, and yes, I know people go in and change it, but it said that Jonathan Papelbon was in a car accident today, and will miss all of the 2008 season.

Does anyone have any information?!

Thanks everyone. It just sort of caught me off guard, but yeah, it would be all over ESPN. Thanks for not making me feel like an idiot :)

I sure hope it's not true. I don't like the Red Sox but he did well for me on my fantasy baseball team last season.

I just came from a Red Sox message board, RedSox247.com, and there was no mention of Papelbon being in a car accident. Had that hit the news (and been true) there would have been a thread or two (or more) there discussing it. There was no mention of it on the Red Sox official website either.

I have not heard a thing about it. Jim Leyritz was in a accident and charged with a DUI and Manslaughter

I usually don't trust what I read on wikipedia. I look for a more reliable resource and as far as I can tell, what you read is untrue (thankfully!)

That is why I don't pay much attention to Wikipedia, you never know what to believe.

Don't listen to them. If he was it would be all over ESPN. I watch that everyday and it didn't say he was hurt. He is fine
