This was a question that I asked my son's(22 years ago) pediatrician:
How do I handle my two year olds' daily temper tantrums without going crazy myself?
pediatrician: Two years, your child is still learning how to communicate his feelings and needs with you and the people around them. He wants to be more independent and it is frustrating as a person in general when you are unable to communicate that. What you should do is find an area in your home where your child feels comfortable and safe such as a rocking chair, a bean bag, or a pillow that is put to the side. Called it the calm down area, when your child begins to tantrum just calmly and gently take your child to the calm down area and allow them to vent on their own. Do not yell at him to stop or threaten punishments, you would not want someone to discipline you for being upset. Allow thim to get up when he wish, but only if the tantrum has subsided. If he chooses to get up and are still tantruming, then calmly and gently put him back. You need to pull your child to the side and tell him that it is okay to be upset or angry and that this is their special place to feel better. Tell him he can get up when he is feeling better. The most important thing is to stay calm and speak in a loving and gentle tone of voice even if you feel that you are not being heard.
I try this technique at 6 weeks but my son continue to behavoring in the same matter. I went back to his doctor and him of my son's continuing behavor. He stated, give it some time because some 2 years old are harder to listen. Oh well my patience was short. My son was still having those temper tantrums. I just dealt with his behavor.

For the love of God, Ron, don't marry Karen! It won't last, trust me! She'll take you for everything you've got! Two weeks later my friend was saying, "Why the hell didn't you listen to me, Ron?" That was 15 years ago when I got married to a woman who treated me like a king for a year before I proposed. I flew her from Germany to the States, we got married and then she was gone. The only time I saw her was payday. She was pretty angry when I got out of the Army. After that, I was no longer obligated to give her a penny.
