A&E sure didn't mess around when it came to canceling DOG the bounty hunter because Dog Chapman blurted out the "N" word in a raging fit during a phone conversation with his son.
But a kid channel with continue to air episodes of Zoey 101 starring a 16 year old unmarried pregnant girl... What is that saying the you little girls? Who is still letting their kids what that show?

I agree that the Bounty Hunter thing was not the same thing but because I was wrong in it own way A&E pulled it off the air ~ no finishing out the season, basically they said " Duane you crossed the line & we are taking out of the air. ALSO I'm not saying Jamie is a bad person ~ I Just don't think that Nick should be putting her out there is a role model for kids (young girls). It's kind of like saying to these kids, Hey, teens have sex & sometimes get knocked up so you might as well get used to seeing it now.

They are still airing the show because they have the season done and half of next season completed I believe. Why she is still under contract is beyond me. She needs to be fired as she is a role model that many young girls look up too. Not to mention Nickelodeon is pretty ballsy to be also airing a pregnacy special....

If Jamie Lynn Spears is a role-model for your child, and Nickelodeon is the example setter in your household, you have bigger problems than Zoey being 16 and pregnant! IMO anyway. I have not stopped my 9 year old daughter from watching Zoey 101, because she is entertained by the show, and doesn't care who Jamie Lynn Spears is. It as been a while since I had Sex-Ed, but I am pretty sure you can't get pregnant from watching TV.

Hopefully my daughter's role-models are real people in her life that are worthy of that title. She knows the difference in right and wrong and has learned it from me, her Dad, our family, and her teachers not Jamie Lynn Spears. TV should not be teaching our children life lessons, we should. The day that Nickelodeon becomes a big enough influence in my daughter's life to cause her to choose to have unprotected sex at such an early age, is the day that CPS needs to be called because I have failed her miserably as a Mother! I am not saying that Nickelodeon still airing the show is right or wrong, I am just saying that as parents we need to take the "role-model" status back from all the Jamie Lynn's, Britney's, and Lyndsey's of the world! After all, these people only become influences if we let them. Just my opinion anyway.

My mother and I were actually talking when she brought up the topic. They should totally stop airing the show..well at least with her in it...I mean go find a new Zoey 101! My mom was saying that Jamie Lyn Spears mom should write a book of how to not raise children. But you never know whats going to happen with the Spears family with the whole Britney scene. Celebritys have a tendency to bring problems up.

The thing dog did was wrong on a different scale than a teen getting pregnant.

Nobody thinks a teen getting pregnant is a good thing, but conventional wisdom in a politically correct society says that if you say she is bad for having sex (by taking her off the air), the millions of other teens having sex are bad also, and that isn't "proper".

no! Its hypocritical to air the show, shes supposed to be a role model? thats like giving our girls the green light to have sex & get pregnant & not be married at her age, and what was her mom thinking not putting her on birth control...or at least asking if she needs to use birth control. It also shows that Jamie is irresponsible & has poor judgement because she knows these girls watch her show. She aint sh*tting anyone, she got pregnant on purpose in my opinion.

Same reason all of these retarded supermodels and singers are getting themselves in so much trouble... It entertains everyone ... Which in turn gives them money to their pocketbooks. like those ever so popular Magazines . everyone wants to get the gossip and dirt on everyone. Very sad actually that they would be teaching kids that it is ok.
This is crazy but i also heard that Jamie and brittany's mom was to be releasing a parenting book. How appropriate.
I would never let my kids watch that.

Because right now Jamie Lynn is generating lots of publicity for that show and that means more people will watch the show, good publicity or bad. More people watching the show means *CHA-CHING* more money for Nickelodeon.

honestly, i dont not know why they would air zoey 101 because if she is going to go and get pregnant the producers dont want a fat jamie on zoey101 and the kids will think that is ok to get pregnant at an early age

Lmfao.
If your kid honestly looks up to her to begin with, your kid just has a problem right there.

What is it saying to our kids?
It's saying that she's living life, **** happens, and if you're retarded enough to go ******' your boyfriend chances are, you COULD get pregnant.

I think she's handling it pretty damn well so far, being 16 knocked up and having everyone suddenly hate you.
