Would you go to a rally if one of your favorite celebrities were there?

I would go to the rally if it wasn't stressful to get there. But he/she would not persuade my vote. The candidate would.
If the candidate blows it the celebrity won't be able to do a thing for damage control in my books. But it would be nice to see the celebrity in person I suppose. Even if she/he was in the oppositions camp I would pay a visit to the rally to see them in person.

I would go to see my favourite celebrity. I wouldn't even bother with the politics. I wouldn't let my hobbies and politics cross, unless of course politics was my hobby (which it isn't!).

So yeah if a celebrity I adored was at a rally, I'd go to spy on them out of purely CELEBRITY interest, and not listen to a word of political garbage.

No.

But then again I wouldn't go to a rally if my favorite candidate was there so you can't really go by me.

Celebrity endorsements only work on the weak minded Obi-wan.

Yes it does. I'd be less likely to vote for someone who has to lean on others. It makes me think that they can't let people form opinions with just the candidates actions and opinions but they have to manipulate the public into liking them. I think it speaks poorly of the candidate. Like they are not strong enough to get support on their own. Instead they have to have someone whom is more in the public eye to do it for them.

No because that celeb. would no longer be one of my favorites. Celebs should stay out of politics, as far as publicly speaking. For example Opera going with Obama... she shouldn't do that. Make private contributions if she wants, but as far as the public is concerned she is not associated with anyone.

It makes me very angry that they use their celebrity as a way of campaigning for their candidate of choice. Like Oprah is doing with Obama. She's got such a huge following and she's using her celebrity to influence her audience. Her money is another issue. That's none of my business what she does with her money. I just think it's unfair and totally biased.

It depends on the respect level I have for that celebrity. If it were Tom Hanks, I would consider it more than if it was Britney Spears.

No, not really. I usually look into the candidates past votes and then I review their current stands, and then I decide.

No, that would not make any difference to me, it is what the political candidate promises to do that would effect my decision. =)

Hell no! why would it??? They are just people with better paying jobs. Most are idiots! Matter of fact, it might even turn me against my candidate.
