I think any age is good as long as you are financially ready and have a strong, stable relationship with your partner. Those two things are key in a healthy pregnancy and raising a child. I'm 24 and my husband is 27. We are pregnant w/our first and are VERY excited! There is no wayyy I would wait until later to have babies,,,just because I want to be a "young" momma-lol! Plus, the sooner you have them, the sooner you get your "love" life back...haha. Or so I'm told. Good luck to you and your wife! It's amazing!

I'm 25 and have a 6 year old. Obviously, I didnt wait, but my pregnancy was not planned. If I could do it all over again, I would wait. I see my brother and his wife (23 and 25), and how much they enjoy just having the 2 of them, and its nice. I think 28 ideally, but if you both feel you are really ready, then anytime works.

There's really no best age. The best age is when you are ready and willing to make that big of a change in your life! I didn't meet my husband til I was 29, we got married when I was 32, and now I'm pregnant with my first child, and I'll be 33 when he or she arrives. Ideally, I would already have had a child or two, but it didn't work out that way.

For a women before 35 but to be safer , 30-32 should be the max . For men no age criteria . But i feel a women of 27-28 & a men of atleast 28 yr plus should be ideal . Moreover both should be mentally matured & a stable relationship to be a parent . Good Luck ..

well the reason that people try to have children when they are younger is so that they can enjoy them more. too with a woman's timing for having children it is best to have them at a young age so that you dont run a chance of the child having mental problems.

also a woman only has so many eggs from the time she is born. and when they are gone they are gone.

so the only other thing to do is ask your wife and she can explain.
but good luck on the 2 of you having kids

awesome question! i like the age 23 because you have had some time out in the world to have some fun but your still young and you can definatly keep up with a baby because your up half the night anyway. your body definatly recovers from having a baby when you have the baby younger as long as it isnt too young. and by the time your baby is 18 you will only be 41 so you will be pretty young still and can go out and do what you want to do agian AND keep up with the grandkids not to mention the grandkids will have much more time with you because you will have quite a bit before you die.

I think anytime you are ready is the perfect time! I'm 21 and my husband is 27, we have a 2 year old and a new baby on the way, I personally wouldn't have waited any longer because my husband's age, and the age he would be when our son is 18. I still want him to be able to be active. Mid 20's to me, seems like the perfect time. Just make sure you are stable in your relationship, and truly ready to take on the responsibility. Regardless of what others say, it is life-changing. No more "me" or "us" time. It's all about the kids!!

There is no "best" age. Age is just one factor to consider when considering what time is right for a baby. Older mothers can have just as healthy of a pregnancy as younger mothers despite having higher risks. It's up to every woman to decide when the right time is for her.

I say it depends upon the people involved and thier circumstances. I had my first child at 25, my pregnancy was pretty difficult because I wasn't very healthy. My 2nd - 4th pregnancies were at ages 33,35, and 36. With those pregnancies, I was a lot healthier and so were my pregnancies.
