La Corda d'Oro

Hino goes to a school that specialises in music and has two streams: the normal stream and the music stream, where the music students are regarded as the more elite. She was running late for her class one day when she saw a tiny fairy, who seemed really excited that she could see it. The next day, the entrants in the music competition, who are decided by the school, are announced. Hino's name appears on the list - except she doesn't play an instrument. The fairy gives her a magical violin that can be played by anyone. Reluctantly, she enters into the competition and is forced to deal with the prejudices of her peers.

Tohru Honda is 16 year old orphaned girl who gets invited to live in the house of her classmate, the handsome boy Sohma Yuki, and his cousins, 16 year old Kyo and 27 year old Shigure. However, these young men and parts of the rest of their family (both close and distant) hold a curse; if they are hugged by the opposite gender, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Everyday is an adventure for sweet Tohru, as she gets to know all of the very different members of the Sohma family better (especially Yuki and Kyo), in both common and bizarre situations. But, the Sohma family curse is certainly no laughing matter... it also holds horrible cruelity and heartbreak.
Tohru Honda's mom died from a car accident, so she moved in with her grandfather. But, her grandfather decides to remodel his house, and because she can't live with her friends while the remodeling is being done, she decides to live in a tent. One morning, while walking to school, she comes across this house where the most popular boy at her school lives, and soon finds out his family's secret. The whole Sohma family are zodiac animals, and when the get hugged by the oppisite sex, they turn into their zodiac form. Tohru must be careful and keep this secret, or her memory might be erased.

Disney released three animated movies by legendary director Hayao Miyazaki this year: Kiki’s Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky, and Spirited Away. All three are excellent movies, but Spirited Away is the best. This modern day fairy tale revolves around a young girl, Chihiro, who stumbles into what appears to be a deserted amusement park with her parents. After eating some food at an empty stand, her parents fall under a spell and turn into pigs. As night falls, the park comes alive with strange beings. Chihiro must find a way to cure her parents and escape the magical land she finds herself in. Populated with interesting characters, stunningly beautiful backgrounds and a powerful story, Spirited Away is a great movie, animated or otherwise. D.N. Angel

Niwa Daisuke is your average teenager, until his fourteenth birthday. He tries to declare his love to the girl of his dreams, but fails. Suddenly, whenever he thinks about this girl he turns into the legendary phantom thief known as Dark Mousy. Daisuke's mother, very much aware of this, makes him turn into Dark and steal valuable works of art for a purpose unkown to Daisuke. As the story unfolds, he learns why, and about his classmate who seems to have the same ability.

Mai-Hime

Thirteen girls, each with the ability to materialize "Elements" and summon metallic guardians called "Childs" have been brought to Fuuka Academy to battle mysterious creatures called Orphans. Each with a different personality and background, they must decide who they truly care about and why they fight.

Well, if you like Cardcaptor Sakura...
You're almost guaranteed to like Tsubasa: reservoir chronicle.
It's by CLAMP, the group that created Cardcaptor Sakura, you'll even recognize a good number of the characters, though they're in quite different of a situation.
Characters you'd recognize include Sakura (now a princess), Syaoran, Toya, and Yukito.
But, it definitely fits the bill of cute, romantic, and magic.

Here are descriptions of the shows!
Full Moon wo Sagashite: A twelve year old girl named Mitsuki dreams of becoming a famous singer but she has throat cancer which makes that dream impossible. But when two death spirits named Takuto & Meroko come and tell her she has one year to live she asks Takuto to do something for her. To turn her into a sixteen year old so she can pursue her dream. In her sixteen year old body Mitsuki is healthy and she becomes the famous singer Full Moon.

Fruits Basket: A girl named Tohru Honda who was living by herself in a tent one day finds a house on her way to school. Her classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure are the ones who live there. When Yuki & Shigure find out that Tohru lives in a tent they invite her to stay with them. When her tent is buried in a landslide she accepts. Soon after she moves in Yuki's other cousin Kyo comes and challenges Yuki to a fight. When Tohru tries to stop the fight she accidently trips and hugs Kyo turning him into a cat. When Yuki & Shigure are accidently hugged too they turn into a rat & a dog. Tohru then discovers the Sohma family secret. 13 members of the Sohma family are cursed. When they are hugged by someone of the opposite gender or they are put under a great deal of stress they turn into 1 of the Chinese Zodiac animals. Tohru promises to keep the secret so her memories are not erased unlike anyone else who was not apart of the Sohma family. But there are darker secrets hidden behind the Sohma curse.

Ouran High School Host Club: A girl named Haruhi gets a scholorship to the prestigious Ouran private High School. Since she is a commaner she cannot afford the school uniform and resorts to wearing slacks & polo shorts. Combined with the fact that she has short tousled hair and large glasses she is mistaken for a boy. Looking for a quiet place to study Haruhi walks into the Third Music Room only to find the Ouran Host Club. While in the room Haruhi accidentaly knocks over a vase worth $80,000 so the Host Club (Thinking she is a boy) make her a host to pay off her debt. Haruhi's real gender is revealed to all the members of the Host Club but she is allowed to continue charading as a boy to be a host as long as she dosn't reveal it to the customers.

Mermaid Melody: The Pink Pearl Mermaid Princess Luchia must go to the human world to find her sacred pearl she gave to a boy she met 7 years ago. After getting her pearl back Luchia joins forces with 2 other Mermaid Princesses Hanon & Lina. Hanon, Lina, and Luchia must use their sacred pearls to transform into idols and sing their songs to destroy the evil Gaito & the Dark Lovers.

Tokyo Mew Mew: 5 ordinary girls get infused with the DNA of 5 endangered animals. They must use their new powers to defend the Earth from the aliens that are trying to take Earth as their own.

well... i say that D.N. Angel's awesome... Tsubasa Chronicles is okay too... if u like card captors, i mean its almost all the same characters... and Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne is good too... although the manga's way better than the anime... Same goes for D.N.Angel... You can try Ah! My Goddess or Kenshin... But then if you dont like Naruto, i dont know what to say... but i guess everyone has different tastes... ^^
