or make some excuse like they are not feeling well? Like they initially made plans with you for backup, just in case something doesnt work out.
Am I the only one who experiences this?

Usually I have back up plans on things to do. There is always something that I need to get done so I see it as a relief sometimes!

When you become an adult, it becomes a part of life. It's not breaking promises, but rather making plans. It's okay to reschedule and try again.

I'm guilty of canceling out on my friends because I do have a lot of pain from time to time. I know that I wont be comfortable or good company. But I try to make up for it.

It is annoying when people do it ALL the time! I get annoyed when I cancel plans and reschedule for a legitimate reason and my friends get really mad. But they have no problem doing it to me.

So now, I just go with the flow and I don't let it get to me. When we get together, we have fun. When we can't...that's okay too.

oh yeah, i have been there. it is worse when you don't have a car and they were supposed to drive....now what do i do?
after the 3rd time...i no longer made plans with that person.

Oh and don't you hate this?

how about you make plans weeks ahead of time and then your Spouse makes plans with his family at the drop of the hat and DOES NOT ASK YOU WHAT YOU ARE DOING >>>
and then you are made to cancel YOUR plans to do what HE WANTS TO DO!
Not only am I let down, So are the kids

but so are my 82 yr old parents who had been expecting to see their grand kids...one only a few months old...
JUST because his family has a "Sudden" get together at their house with family that just pops into town.

Tell them, to bite a dead squirrel and choke on it!

No, you're not the only one who experiences this. And like me, you should certainly decline ever to make plans with such people again. If they're that inconsiderate, you don't need them.
