My name is Candace. I like my name and all but some people just hate it. The emphasize it and make it seem like my parents were on another planet when I was born. Some people change it so my nickname is Candi, or Candyapple or worse... "Can". Any nickname suggestions?

WOW!!! My name is Candace and people looooooooooove calling me Candi... I hate it because its sounds like a stripper... I get nicknamed Candi, Candyapplerain, Candance (even though I can't dance)... I always wanted a nickname when I was younger... I go by Dace (Day-C... kinda like Daisy) because for some odd reason some people think Candace is an odd name and wierd to pronounce... ??? Someone tried to call me Dicey at one point and I was like that's weird because my name is spell d-a-c-e not d-i-c-e... But I like Dicey...
And my last name starts with a T!!! And Candace is a pretty name.

Candace is a lovely name. If you love it forget everyone else. However, if you really want a nickname, just make one up. It doesn't have to revolve around the spelling of Candace. Like, for instance, how the $#!%^ did anyone get Dick from Richard? Or Peggy from Margaret?

I love that name. I haven't heard of a Candace in a long time. I like the nickname of Candy personally. You could also use Dicey, although I'd advise against that. Or Andy, Candan, etc. Don't know if I helped you out though.

Candace is a beautiful name. Don't use a nickname. It won't be as classy as the whole name is. Be proud of it and know that no matter what your name is, there will always be someone to make fun of it. It says more about their maturity than it does about your name.

One of my best friend's names is Candace. We don't have a nickname for her, but my husband calls her Candy A**

Candace is a really pretty name, but i hate the name Candy. If you love it flaunt it. It doesnt matter what they think, they will never be you and you will never be them, and if they make fun of you just be like ha funny.

you lucky lucky lucky girl!!!!!!!!!!!!! i named my baby ashlee and it was out of candace and ashlee,,, but i chose ashlee
candace is so coooool, i found it hard to choose ashlee over it, the only reason i did was cos my mum was against me choosing candace for personal reasons[ she knows a candace, lol]

the only other Candace i ever knew (besides you) had a brother who called her "canned a--"
but i think its a very sophisticated name so hang on to it and you'll grow into it someday....
