well one guitarist to another bro ill tell you its all in your style. i have one of each and find them both great. its all in the sound your looking for and the feel so try both out.i can tell you the paul is heavier but sound is an individual thing you'll have to experiment with and keep in mind the paul doesnt have a whammy bar. personally i enjoy the paul more but try both and decide for yourself they both can produce bluesy sounds and metal so...up to you

Les Paul and Strats are very different. You should try them both and some others to see what suits you best...no one else can really tell you what guitar is best for you.

Screw guitar, go bass!
Ya, go for the reputable guitars: Gibson, Fender, etc. Specifically: Les Paul.

i would get a les paul. theyre the best guitars around and my dad said he would do anything to get his back (he sold it for college a long time ago)

if your willing to pay that much money for a guitar, id get a les paul.

There is such a huge difference in the necks of those two; base your decision on which one feels the best to you. You already know about their reputation.
