I want to change my desktop on my computer but I can't get rid of the last desktop. I dowloaded a desktop from my local arena football team and I tried two different ones and parts of both of them are stuck on my computer but I can get another one from the ones that are stored in my computer and they show up fine. Can anyone help me with this problem?

right click your desktop, personalize, desktop background, then pick what you want.
XP, same I think, ain't done XP in a while.

First of all, why are you posting in the Hardware -> Desktop section. As we are in the desktop section, it means, desktop computer, not desktop background. I can help you solve your problem but you seriously need to learn where to post your questions. =P
Right Click on the picture, and click: "Set as desktop". Simple as that. It will erase your previous desktop and set your new one for you.
If that fails, go to:
Start < Control Panel < Appearance
And change your desktop background from there. :)
