write the check to yourself

Writing a check to yourself is best. Even if you write it to cash, most banks or credit unions will require you to endorse the bank when you deposit it. As someone else said, a check made to 'Cash' is a bearer instrument and can be cashed by whoever has physical possession of the check.

This is a very common transaction. I advise my customers to write the check to themselves since any check that is lost dropped or stolen made out to CASH is payable to whomever finds the document.

P.S. Don't forget to endorse the back too.

In Israel - better to write to yourself.
than to deposit it.
sending it - here is better to cross it.
can you do it by the internet?
here we can...
it cost money - but it safer than by mail.
but i saw they have in michigan!!!
look their site and ask them!
unless the city is too big.
